IGS Space and Event Request Form

Please submit this form to request space for activities at the IGS at least 14 days in advance of event.

External Presenters

Guest network accounts will be required for presenters at your event who are external to Humber. NB. Other external attendees who are not presenting will be given access to guest wifi.

Event Contact

Please note, events at the IGS are self-serve so we ask that the event host/contact bring adequate support as well as maintain oversight over all event logistics.

The event contact/host is required to be on site for the duration of the event.

Set up and take down

The IGS is designed to offer flexible re-configurable spaces. As such, we encourage you to re-arrange the furniture to suit your event needs.

Please note the IGS is a self-serve campus and the event host is responsible for set up and take down of events. We recommend you take a photo of the room before re-arranging it so that it can be reset correctly after the event. Kindly also ensure all garbage is disposed of in the garbage bins and recycling is appropriately sorted in the tri-sorter recycling receptacles.

The IGS Industry and Community Connector Hub (ICHub):

The ICHub is where industry, academia and students converge to drive innovation, solve business challenges, collaborate on impactful projects, and deliver excellence in training and professional development. 

If your event includes IGS students you can partner with the ICHub to: 

  • leverage ICHub Industry partners; 
  • have tailored workshops delivered by the ICHub Career Planner to support IGS student participants preparing them for the event; 
  • have your event promoted through the IGS student portal and IGS digital signage to encourage student participation.

Option 1: Global Teams Room - Built in hybrid functionality

The IGS Global collaborative classrooms allow for immersive, live-streamed events and meetings, enabling real-time interaction and collaboration between participants across the globe. Enhanced videoconferencing technology closes the gap for remote participants and expands opportunities for collaboration and participation.

  • NB. This space can be combined with Rm 405 to create a larger events space

OWL Cameras - Hybrid delivery:

Any space at the IGS can be made hybrid through the addition of a portable OWL camera

The Meeting Owl Pro is an all-in-one, 360-degree camera, mic, and speaker making it the perfect tool for collaborative hybrid events and meetings.

Mics:

NB. Only Rm 405 and 506 have built in ceiling mics.

Please request handheld or lapel mics if needed.

A member of the IGS team will respond to you in 24-48 hrs about whether your event has been accepted.
